The Hollywood 3000 is planning a full-on reformatting where every post is a video flexing my skills in regular and AI-generated video editing (because YouTube might shut me down if I uploaded there). This week, it's something simple: I took clips from the UK panel show, Mock the Week (which originally ran from 2005 to 2022, but is back after a four-year hiatus and a channel hop from BBC to TLC UK. Thanks to YouTube and torrent downloading, I'm able to see it, same way as I do Saturday Night Live UK) and tried my hand at connecting and finding patterns in one of the comedian panelists to create a story or some kind of joke chain filled with callbacks and brick jokes the likes of which haven't been seen since Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In, its bizarre-for-its-time-but-very-much-like-today's-ADHD-fueled-entertainment spinoff Turn-On, and Robot Chicken (if that show is still on). This time around, it's Glenn Moore, who eerily looks like a young, male version of my female career counselor from when I moved out to California for Job Corps (not the Kentucky one) and whose humor has stuck with me (not in the way Noel Fielding's does [which also includes a massive crush that blows over occasionally, but will never blow out and looking back at my childhood and realizing that the creative weirdo in me will never die and that there's someone out there who's more-or-less in the same boat as I am, but more successful], but I am a fan of the humor that seems to go from dark to scatological to weird to wordplay at the same pace a pinball does after you pull back the plunger and let go. Plus, there's the running joke of Glenn Moore insulting Rhys James and vice versa).
There will be more (or is that "Moore") in the series, if time allows (which it will), but that's probably going to be after I finally get Snow White 2k26 (now retitled Snow White: Generation A.I.) off the ground (or if I do a few installments, take a break, broadcast this as filler, and go back to the main project).
Rated 15 for crude humor (sexual, scatological, and some politically incorrect), strong language (including wordplay on curse words), and references to violence and upsetting themes.
